Troy-bilt Pony
Order process was easy and quick. Delivery was a bit of a hassle. In order to get it anywhere near the posted delivery date on the site I had to make arrangements to pick it up at the terminal. Assembly instructions a little confusing but manageable Tiller started up fine after I spent a morning and eight stores to find gear lube specified as reserve was low when tiller arrived. Had to spend 35 dollars to get about 4 oz of oil. As I said unit started fine and runs well. Disappointed in... more

New Garden
After 20 years we finally found time in retirement to have a vegetable garden again (1000 sq ft.). Had an 35 yr old Sears front tine tiller but carburetor leaked and it was a beast to handle. Did the usual research and figured we'd get a counter-rotating tine tiller (e.g Husqvarna). But was always attracted to old Troy Bilt. Read many reviews (some referring to older models) and ordered this one, even though $400 more than most (counter rotating) new designs.

Not Good
My husband bought this for me be caused his dad crushed the our big red into the back of the garage when it got away from him. So I wanted the Pony, a little smaller easier to handle. Well the first time I used it, it started fine for my husband I used it for about an hour. Only thing I didn't like that it was slow. The next time it wouldn't start the coil wouldn't move gas gushing out the exhaust checked oil. It was full of gas. So off it when to our local Troy-Bilt service. Now mind you the... more

Troy Bilt Pony
Stay away from troy bilt unless you get the counter rotating tines or your area is already a tilled garden. If you have a new area to till expect to be worked to death because the transmission does not hold back the tiller. If in hard soil or grass areas, what a disappointment. My sears counter rotating tines spoiled me.
