Q: Hi. Will you explain the 'dual rotating' tines verses the 'counter rotating' tines. I am perplexed in buying between these two features. Thank you! Mike
by Mike from Pennsylvania on July 14, 2011

A: Mike - you may want to take a look at our buyer's guide for rear tine tillers. This will answer your question in detail, and give you some other things to think about and look for when choosing the right tiller. Just click on this link: Pick the perfect tiller

Q: I just bought a used troy-built scout tiller my question is should the drive wheels roll freely when the tiller is not running?
by Grady Massey from Arkansas on April 12, 2011

A: Thanks for your inquiry. Just make sure the drive is in neutral and the wheels will move freely.

Rear Tine Tiller
It's not what I expected, the rear tine is not user friendly, you actually need to keep continous pushing pressure on the handle to keep it moving forward. (NOT EASY TO USE)....I wish I would have chose the Front Tine, O well to late............

Impressed
Very nice machine! However I agree with an earlier review which said handlebars are a little flimsy. Otherwise I am very impressed with it.

My First Tiller
The wife bought it but I get to use it. I ( the husband ) chose this type of tiller mostly because of the gear drive. It arrived in perfect shape. It took me about 30 minutes to put things together and oil/gas it up. This is not a joke! The darn thing started up on the first pull!! We have a garden area, flower gardens, etc. I've only gone thru two tanks of gas, you can figure how many hours that is, with NO problems. I read a lot of customer reviews prior to making the purchase. All I... more
