  3 Questions
Q: Hello,

Are there other attachments that can be used with this tiller? Perhaps a hiller/furrower?

Thank you!

by Katie from Vermont on February 11, 2013

A: Katie - sorry, but Cub Cadet no longer offers a hiller/furrower for their rear tine tillers. They did, but they dropped it from their offering a year or two ago.

by Wendell Kratz from Arkansas on February 08, 2013

Q: WHAT TYPE OF STARTER DOES RT65E TILLER HAVE
by NANCY HOCKING from Wisconsin on March 12, 2012

The RT65E has an electric start and a pull start. It requires an extension cord for the electric start. There is no start battery.

Does Everything I Need
My tiller arrived crated in pristine shape. The final assembly was quick and easy, the instructions were clear. My tiller was a bit hard to start for the first time, I'm glad I bought the electric start option. Once it finally did start I needed to lean out my fuel mixture a little for our 6500 ft elevation here. After that everything worked as hoped. I had to till a 1500 sq ft plot that had not seen a tiller for 30 years. The only watering the plot ever received was occasional sprinkling, thus... more

The Best
Took it out of the box, put it together in about 30 min. Put gas in it, started on the first pull and went to work. Can't get much better than that. Shipper was very good. The crate that it was shipped in was not even damaged. I am very happy with this tiller.
Pros: High Quality, Easy To Use, Durable, Exceeded Expectations
Cons: None

Buy This Tiller
First, pay for lift gate service. It is more than worth it. Assembly was much easier than expected. Started very easily both by electric and pull cord. Part of my garden area had never been tilled, and it handled it easily.

With a front tine tiller, my garden would beat me up and take a lot of time. Then I would have a sore back. Tilled my garden in less than half the time, and was not hurt or sore. I am thinking about expanding the garden again because this tiller makes the job a lot... more

Old Lady
I am 70 years old and have been looking for a tiller with an electric start for a long time, I love to garden and sometimes can't start a tiller with a pull start, just not strong enough anymore.

I found this one and even though I haven't been able to use it yet, won't be long now, I know I will enjoy gardening again. Thank you so much for making an old lady happy!

Poor Shipping And Zero Response To Motor Problems
The tiller was shipped on an open pallet with nothing to protect it but plastic wrap. The motor would not run except at idle. I emailed PED for help, but never heard from them. Finally got help from motor mfg. PED rated: poor.

Great Machine
This is my first Tiller and the Cub Cadet RT65E is everything I could ask for in a Tiller. Fast Delivery and easy setup. I have used this machine for 15 hours and I am glad I paid to get a Dual Rotaing machine. This machine performs as advertised and I do not have any issues with the gearing as stated in other reviews. Shifting is not an issue if you allow the system to stop as directed.

Cub Cadet customer service was Top Notch when I contacted them. Please check the tightness of the... more

Great Tiller For The Money
I decided to buy this tiller based on bang for the buck and am glad I did. It has the larger tires and a heavy counter weight that makes for a good balance. It arrived via semi in great condition with no box or skid damage from R&L Carriers. Assembly was easy and I had that done in 30 minutes of taking my own sweet time. I might add that Cub Cadet does a great job with the packaging to protect the tiller.

I opted for the 120 volt electric start as I am getting older but it also... more

All I Expected
Have 1/2 acre tilled with tractor. Dozens of fruit trees which cannot be do with tractor. The Cub Cadet is doing an excellent job removing all weeds and keeping the areas clean. It has done all I expected. Planting the garden was easy. Still to come is weeding between rows. We'll see. The electric start is not as easy as I expected because it has to be plugged in, but the pull cord works perfectly. I am senior citizen and can keep up with it. In reverse, it makes me move faster but it... more

What The Other Guy Said
I read the other guys review, and although I'm not old and frail, I have to agree 100% with what he said. My feelings exactly. The tiller is built very well, starts and runs great, has plenty of power. BUT, like the other guy said, the drive wheel speed could be reduced quite a bit. My soil is a sandy clay loam and hasn't been worked for 2 years. I tried tilling at minimum depth and at full depth, tines forward, tines backward....... the drive wheels need to be slowed down A LOT. Cub... more

Digging A Garden
The tiller was delivered on third day, not too bad, the driver fellow was helpful and friendly. I assembled the tiller in about 1/2 hour- the only problem was a clutch cable bracket which was welded too close to the handle and the cable hole didn't give clear access to snap in the cable end.

I needed to file into the handle brace to get clearance for cable connector, so I guess it was was sloppy placement of the support before welding during manufacture.

The tiller started easily, it... more
